30 Minutes

I am going to write for thirty minutes....... the big hand is on the 3.

Jayne says I should use paragraph breaks. OK.

I will.

Done.

I sent a copy of the Wise Man story to my friend, Wheelbarrow and she said,
""Well, Wren, I say whatever cracks you open, cracks you open. I don’t need to know or even understand it, just celebrate it and get the online path to your new blog.

I muse on that: I talk when people don’t listen.

My brain seems to be making an odd shuckling sound.""

and then I said........ ( btw, it is exciting to have a friend who has the courage to let her brain make noises ) so back to and then I said:
The story was so unexpected. You have a master crying and very upset, you hear about a serious very forbidden crime, and then he compares it to the ordinary........... continuing to talk when someone is not listening......... shock value..........
but then what about it? is it really that disgusting? to talk when someone is not listening..........
who would be disrespected.......... the wisdom you might be speaking, ( being the wise man ) or how little you might expect from your own efforts?

But now I am thinking on it more. If, like in a dream, you pretend you are every person in it, then I am also the dead woman.

If it might be true that all of creation screams the wonders of this world then I am the one who does not know how to listen. But that could be a whole different story.

If my words were seeds, am I placing them with respect?

I thought about the story more after reading your second post.
And I think there is a further parallel, though I'm sure I'm just stating the obvious. But the central value of having sex is to have offspring - creation, the passing on of life, etc. And to do this with a dead person is, well, a dead end. So for me, I get that this story is saying "don't waste my breath" and maybe even don't talk "at" people, because if you know they're not listening, there won't be any fruit for your labors. :)
I'm glad you commented on it again.
